The usual care of our green spaces has led to a drastic decline in butterflies throughout Europe.

"Saxony is blooming" is an initiative of the Saxon State Parliament. The Saxon State Foundation for Nature and the Environment (LaNu) provides locally certified seeds for suitable areas as part of the project "Doll's house wanted - blooming meadows for Saxony's butterflies". With insect-friendly management, it serves as a habitat for many insect species and promotes biotope networking in Saxony.

FLEXIVA applied for this project with its meadow behind the production hall in Weißbach and meets the requirements. The preparations have already started. On Saturday, the managing director of FLEXIVA successfully sowed and rolled the seed. Now the seeds can germinate well with the help of plenty of moisture. With a little patience we can soon enjoy a beautiful butterfly meadow.
